Adlerweg trail
Hiking on the wings of the eagle
The Adlerweg trail is Tirol's best known hiking trail, running from east to west throughout Tirol. The route looks like the silhouette of an eagle, which hovers up in the dizzy heights with outspread wings. Alpine experience, surefootedness and a head for heights is required for many stages. Those who take on the challenge will be setting out on a 320 kilometre adventure right through the mountains: 320 kilometres of hiking between the Kaiser mountains and Arlberg, 24 day stages, ranging from easy to difficult, gentle to rough, cheery to extremely tiring. 23,000 metres altitude uphill, 20,000 metres altitude downhill. Countless steps, hundreds of peaks and thousands of superb views!
